Pixies, Stogies and the Circus Ladies

I joined Bryan to wait in line for Pixies tickets this morning. It’s been rainy and miserable. Thankfully, we were allowed to wait inside the lobby. Bryan and I arrived around 11:00, tickets went on sale at noon. The Milwaukee Theatre’s box office has three windows. At around quarter to twelve, two women walk up to one of the windows and wanted to buy circus tickets or something. There was some kind of disagreement between them and the ticket clerk. Their arguement goes on and on. When tickets for the Pixies finally go on sale, there are only two windows available because of this. The people behind us in line seemed to be getting really upset about it. We ended up with third row mezzanine seats, good seats. Damn you, circus ladies!

I’ve seen rave reviews of the shows in Minneapolis and at Coachella. Here’s a link to the first show’s setlist:

When I got back to the office, UPS had delivered some cigars. I ordered them online at thompsoncigar.com. The website has a big selection, reasonably priced. I ordered a sampler package. They got to me fast. I might bring a few over to Dan’s this weekend to share.
