Brookfield

Due to a series of unfortunate business related mishaps, I spent today waiting around all day in Brookfield.

You can spend a long time in book stores. I went to two of them, purchasing a few books including the new David Sedaris.

Lance, one of my good friends, opened his own business recently in Brookfield. I paid him a visit. He’s doing very well.

My next stop was the hobby store in the V. Richards plaza. One of the guys that worked there shared my interest in zombies, so we talked about them at great length.

I had a Kopp’s burger for lunch. Pralines and Cream was their flavor of the day. I took a pass.

The Kopp’s shopping plaza area houses a cool cigar shop. I spoke with the owner for a while. Nice guy. He sold me a humidor.

By this time, the midday edition of the Waukesha Freeman was on the stands. Jim’s crime related story was on the front page above the fold. I read it and the rest of the paper at Starbucks.

Around 2:30 this afternoon, my business problems were finally resolved and I left the friendly town of Brookfield.
