My Dry Cleaning Lady
My dry cleaning lady’s milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, and they’re like it’s better than yours, she could teach you, but she’d have to charge.
Well, I may be exaggerating just a little bit here.
I’ve been going to the same dry cleaner for about six years. The woman who takes my clothes at the counter reminds me of an older Halle Berry. She’s very nice. We make small talk about the weather, travel, dining and other things.
About two years ago, I noticed that she started giving me discounts. For instance, I took in eight shirts and four ties yesterday. Normally this would cost $28.20. For me, $19.45. It’s like that everytime. She never mentions that she’s doing it.
I enjoy having such unspoken arrangements.
