Lawn Boy
A couple weeks ago my neighbors, a nice elderly couple, told me about a kid in the neighborhood who cuts lawns for $7 a week. I wanted in on this sweet deal, so they gave me the kid’s number. I left a message on his machine inquiring about his services.
When Jim and I went to the game two nights ago we met at my house. Jim got there before me and was hanging out on my front lawn when he was approached by the kid. He introduced himself to Jim as “Chuck’s lawn boy”.
When I got home from work yesterday, the lawn was cut. It looked great. I finally met the kid when he stopped by to get paid. He raised his rate to $10. A bargain at any price. I gladly paid the boy. He told me that he shovels snow in the winter too for $10 a pop. I think i’m going to hold off on the lawn mover and snow blower purchases until this kid goes to college.
