Halloween Candy
This is my first Halloween as a homeowner. I’m looking forward to handing out candy. It’s fun to see what the kids are dressing up as these days. My guess is that i’ll be seeing a lot of Spongebobs and Shreks. In preparation for Sunday, I went to Target this morning to get the candy. I may have gone a little overboard. My purchases were a M&Ms 85 piece variety pack, a bag of Twix and a bag of Snickers both with glow in the dark wrappers, a bag of Almond Joy, some Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and some Nutrageous snack size bars for the nutrageous kids.
My first idea for handing out the goodies was to paint my face blue and put a rope around my neck while i’m propped up to look as though i was hung. I would have blood dripping from my mouth and a piece of notebook paper stapled to my shirt that read “You damn kids, this is all your fault!!!”. The candy would be at my feet with a sign that said “TAKE ONE”. I’m not sure that most parents would share my sense of humor, so i’ve nixed that plan. Instead, I’ll put on my pirate hat and repeatedly answer the door with a hand full of candy asking “What are you supposed to be?”.
