Hitchcock Double Feature

What a wonderful place the Times Cinema is. Starting Friday they’re running an Alfred Hitchcock double feature of Rear Window and Rope for a week. Jimmy Stewart is great in both movies. While we were roommates, Jim (I remember him being a big fan of the movie) had me watch Rope with him. It was shot to look like it was filmed on one take, but it actually has three barely noticeable edits. The movie has a quick pace, heavy tension and is sharply written. If you’ve never seen it, try and make it out to the Times next week for at least the second half of this fantastic double bill.
