White People

I picked up a copy of the new Handsome Boy Modeling School (Prince Paul and Dan the Automator) CD, White People last weekend. Their first disc, So…How’s Your Girl?, was really good. This one is even better. The whole disc is good, but my favorite tracks are: “I’ve Been Thinking” with Cat Power, “Greatest Mistake” with John Oates and Jamie Cullum , and “Breakdown” with Jack Johnson. Tim Meadows resurrects his Ladies’ Man character to sing the praises of the Handsome Boy Modeling School in between tracks. Those bits are hilarious.

On Prince Paul’s website, he mentions that HBMS is planning to tour the US in January. No dates have been announced yet.

Andy, It’s good to hear from you. Any word on Wake’s Milwaukee premiere? I hope you’re doing well. Say hi to Janelle for me.

No word on when I’ll pull it in the 414. I do have a DVD collector’s edition of Wake for you in a package that I am shipping to Jim this week. Keep an eye out for that. No Slamdance, No Sundance for wake. (*Side note: more than a 100 people walked out of test screenings for Wes Anderson’s film Bottle Rocket in 1996) Hahahaha. Holding out for a trip to Park City to be in Tromadance and have hopes for the US comedy Arts festival. WI film fest submit went out last Wednesday, so WI premiere could land up in Madison!! ….More to come

yo yo

3 things caught my eye - slamdance, prince paul and milwaukee.

I am a milwaukee based filmmaker, screening at slamdance & producing a party with Prince Paul on the decks. Jan 28th @ Suede in Park City. If you or any heads are in park City during festival week - stop by the slamdance office and say hello - Howie
