Dan's Birthday

Dan’s birthday extravaganza was a lot of fun. We went to Medieval Times for their dinner show. I was impressed. My favorite part was when the knights came into the arena before the competition. You’re encouraged to cheer for your knight and boo the opposing knights. I really got into it. One of the knights must’ve heard my comments over the chorus of boos coming from our section. He gave me a long mean glare.

Another of the evenings highlights was MT’s museum of torture devices. It was interesting and quite disturbing. Dan put a picture up on his site of the winner of “The most unfortunate way to die in medieval times”, Judas’ Cradle. Many of other devices were equally gruesome. If you ever find yourself at Medieval Times and don’t get nightmares easily, you have to check this attraction out.

I hope that Dan puts that picture of him getting knighted up soon. It’s priceless. My computer needs new wallpaper.

My favorite interaction between Chuck and a Medieval Times actor?

The scenario…

An evil knight has been captured and is being restrained by two squires. They have tied ropes around each of his wrists, and are stretching his arms out wide while he helplessly awaits his fate from the king.

The “dialogue”…

Chuck: “CUT HIS ARMS OFF!”

Squire: glances over at Chuck, nods approvingly

That was a good one, but Chuck taunting the other knights was the best.

“You sit when you pee!!!”
