Lost Finale

I thought it was a good two hours. Science teacher gets blowed up real good. The crazy French women steals Claire’s baby, then gives it back. Island bad guys kidnap Walt. The hatch is finally opened.

What’s in the hatch?

Wouldn’t it be great if during next season’s first episode, Locke climbs down the hatch only to find Adam West in a cave wearing his Batman suit surrounded by big boxey computers? Locke looks at him, astonished. West turns around quickly and says, “What the f#@k are you doing here?! Can’t you see that i’m trying to fight crime?!”.

Locke will go down the hatch without anyone else. Jack will tell him not to go, but he will.

When he gets down to the bottom, he will find a controll room with a bunch of ABC TV producers and execs watching everyone on the island on TV monitors.

The producers will tell him about their elaborate plan of a new TV Reality show. They set the entire thing up. Hidden cameras all over the island. From who made it on the plane, right down to him losing the use of his legs (they secretly have been injecting him with paralizing drugs while he slept for years). “What about the people who have died?” Locke asks…”It’s called good TV, ratings, baby, RATINGS!” One of the producers says, “This is the #1 rated show on TV!”

Locke finds out all the secrets of the island, even the security system which is an elaborate hoax meant to keep them away from the posh resort the producers live in. But he is sent back and told not to say anything. When the show is over, he will get $1 Million dollars and an extreme home makeover by TY Pennington.

Locke agrees and goes back to the others saying the hatch is gone. They all rush to the hatch…and it is gone…We watch a season of Locke giving a sinister smile to the hidden cameras. (Hence the “Locke problem” Jack talked about) After 24 is cancelled, Jack Bauer is sent to the island to save everyone on the island.

End of show.

OK, I absolutely love this show. I think it’s the best thing on TV.

That said, I hope that we get a little more reveal in the next season. Abhram’s other show, “Alias”, started out VERY strong the first season. The most insteresting stuff happening on that show was/is the “Rambaldi” plotline - an ancient DaVinci-type who built all these components that supposedly mean something. Unfortunately, it’s 5 years later, and we’re just starting to learn about it.

If I have to go another season and not learn anything about the island… well, that’s OK for me - I’ll keep watching anyways. I’d be concerned that some people will start tuning out, though. That means a weaker time slot, lower budget, etc.

All I’m saying is, “don’t fuck it up!!”
