Raveonettes
Last night my brother and I spent a late night at the Mad Planet seeing the Raveonettes show. I love this band. I’ve heard them best described as Jesus and Mary Chain meets Buddy Holly. It’s cool music. It makes you wish you were wearing a white t-shirt with a pack of cigarettes rolled up the sleeve, a black leather jacket and had a full head of hair to grease back. Last night they played much of the new album, Pretty in Black and a few songs off of Chain Gang of Love. “That Great Love Sound”, “Twilight”, “Love In A Trashcan” and Sharin Foo’s version of “My Boyfriend’s Back” were among the evening’s highlights.
