Summerfest Lineup

Sniff, sniff…What’s that awful smell coming from the former (and inferior) center of power? Oh, it’s the Summerfest amphitheatre lineup announced thus far. I’ll give Jim his Allman Bros, but the rest of it? Ouch!

Here’s one place that you won’t find me this summer: Potawatomi Classic Rock Stage

Hey Chuck My favorite singer songwriter Pat Green is playing before that Kenny guy plays the amhiptheatre. Pat Green really does rock and you should check him out! http://www.patgreen.com/

John Mellencamp Holy crap. I can hear the Milwaukee is a “small town” shout out already.

Tom Petty Respectable, but Old hat and it seems its every year now that he shows up on the main stage.

Kenny Chesney The fact that Milwaukee as a metropolitan community fosters a pop country music crowd insenses me. How many country music fans are in Philadelphia? It drags us down having these fake ass Jimmy Buffet ape-ing metrosexual cowboys around. Small time.

Santana Yawn…….. The only thing redeemable about this would be if he brought in some travelling road show guest stars or something. Embellished latin super guitar is for the Muzak in the Southridge Chi Chi’s bathroom if you ask me

Stevie Nicks Don Henley CANCELLED Thank God. 50 year old women in peasant shirts not my kind of thing

Allman Brothers Band (Must find way to not insult Jim….) Read Tom Petty above. Same old, Same old.

BoDeans Can another local band please hit it big already? The well is beyond dry, try Gobi desert desert dry. I would like to know who the fans of this band are? I’ve never met one in my whole life. Piss poor.

Tim McGraw Isn’t Kenny Chesney enough? Stay in West Allis!!! I think at this point on the calendar, we have surmised that Black People do not go to Summerfest. Thanks booking commitee !

WTF is Summerfest doing? This is terrible. I’m not saying we should be or can be Coachella, but variety would be nice for all ages and audiences. Such a bummer.

Diamond Dave on that oldies satge is a must see Chuck, you’re missing the boat.

First of all, thank you all for respecting my love for the Allman Bros. The thing about that show is, the opening acts start at 3 p.m. and they involve Gov’t Mule and the Derek Trucks Band. It’s really a Jim Come True.

Besides that, I’ll concede it’s a poor lineup for the main stage. Anyway, I’m in Eau Claire and this town rocks. See you all in a few days.
