Casual piracy

Here’s an interesting story about Sony’s attempt to combat music piracy. I can’t imagine this will make iPod users very happy.

That’s an interesting read and all, but complete bullshit. The only company that can stop people from ripping CDs and copying them to iPods using iTunes is Apple. And that ain’t happening.

There has been a new format out for a few months called the “DualDisc”, which has caused problems for Mac users. But unless Sony/BMG stops producing audio CDs, they’re not stopping anyone.
