Say hello to my little friend!

Jason was in Milwaukee Friday night. He and I went to the Times Cinema for the 11:00pm showing of Brian DePalma’s Scarface.

It’s been at least 15 years since I last saw it. A couple of thoughts:

  • The chainsaw/drug-deal-gone-wrong scene wasn’t as shocking as I remember.

  • The finale struck me as being pretty ridiculous. I tried to count the number of attackers Tony fights off at the end. I lost count after 30-something. Also, “Say hello to my little friend” may be the funniest line in movie history.

  • Robert Logga is over-the-top great in this movie. He steals every scene he’s in with Pacino.

  • Jason commented on how the film has a Miami Vice feel to it, especially the set design.

My favorite part of “Scarface”? The Bell 222 Twin B helicopter.

Airwolf, baby!
