Dog Days of Summer
My summer vacation is almost over. We’re moving all of the furniture into the office and setting up next week. It’s pretty exciting. There’s only so many afternoons that you can spend laying out in the backyard with a good book, or going to a matinee before you feel a bit lazy.
Last weekend my sister was in town. I took her to see Me, You and Everyone We Know. I know I wrote about it in a previous post, but I want to stress to those who haven’t seen it what a good movie it is. If you have the chance, check it out. It’s a unique and wonderfully optimistic film.
Speaking of my sister, yesterday was her birthday. Happy Birthday, Sue. I called and left a message on your machine. Unfortunately, you don’t return phone calls. I hope it was a great one.
After weeks of paint stripping and sanding the wood, I’m glad to report the deck is done. Thanks to Dan, Jeff and Eric for the help.
The fundraiser for my nephew Jake’s school is this Sunday. I’m looking forward to it. It should be a great time. I hope you can make it. It would mean the world to our family to have you all there.
It’s almost 1:30 in the morning and I found a nice late night treat for myself on HBO. They’re about to run Death Wish 4: The Crackdown. It’s the only entry in the series that i’ve never seen. This episode as described by the channel guide: “The vigilante architect targets Los Angeles drug rings after the death of his girlfriend’s daughter.” It should be good.
