New Favorite Things

Here’s a small list of some of my new favorite things.

Steven Carell - I liked this guy in Anchorman and the US version of The Office, but i still wasn’t ready for the greatness that is The 40 Year Old Virgin. This is the kind of movie that Wedding Crashers should have been. It gloriously piles on the raunch. Scene after scene, it get better and better (or worse if you’re easily offended). Carell has perfect comic timing. Almost all of the movie’s laughs depend on his delivery and reaction. He’s spot on.

Baked Cheetos - They’re delicious, I can’t tell the difference between them and the real thing.

Cable discovery - With a bigger tv in the basement, i rarely use the one upstairs. Last week, i was watching the less used set when I noticed that it gets all of the movie channels on it. Awesome.

Crystal Light single packs that you add to bottled water - Raspberry Ice and Lemonade are the best.

The thought of never, ever, never, never ever going to The Wisconsin State Fair ever, ever again - A good idea? No, a great idea. I spent about an hour and a half there last weekend. It was hot, crowded and smelly. Every few years i forget how terrible that place is, so i go back. This visit will stay in my head and keep me from returning for a long time.

My new mustache - It’s a winner.

I think the reason you noticed that State Fair was more smelly this year, is the new mustache. It funnels all the air around your head right up your nose.

Shave the stache and go back…you’ll notice is not quite as smelly…unless of course, you are by any of the livestock buildings…Then, it may be worse!

Aw forget it…keep the mustache. I makes you look more “distinguised”.

Bryan-maybe you could add a stache to the Chuck’s picture here. I am thinking along the lines of “The captain was here” ad campaign.

I love the State Fair!!!

Eddie Butts + Kitchen Gadgetry as seen on TV in the exhibit halls + Thunder & lightning + WTMJ’s “the greenhouse” broadcast in person + Tiny Journal Sentinels and Green Sheets + a giant slide = MAGIC

Where else can you fist fight a West Allis citizen and buy a driftwood clock all in one hour?
