Leno, still not funny.

While flipping through channels tonight I caught a little bit of Leno. They were doing a knock-off of SNL’s Celebrity Jeopardy skit. Leno was the host. They had a guy doing George Bush, Fred Willard as himself and Gilbert Gottfried as Harriet Miers, Gottfried’s impression of Miers consisted of talking like he usually does and holding a pained look on his face. One of the categories was Politics. The answer was DeLay. Gottfried as Miers gave the correct question, “What did Bill Clinton do with the women?” It was so bad that it was almost good.

I loved that during the Emmy’s this year that they had Letterman do the Carson tribute and that Jon Stewart called out Letterman as a relative giant influence to our generation like Carson was to Letterman’s generation of comedians. Leno was there but they never put him on camera.

That says a lot.

I’ll never understand why Jay leno isn’t topping out doing Dorito’s commercials and direct to video movies with pat Morita. It’s where that unfunny jughead sumbitch belongs.
