With the Colts and Patriots out of the playoffs, I can’t say that I have much of a rooting interest in the NFL playoffs from here on out. Broncos, Steelers, Seahawks and Panthers, not a fan of any of them.
Hold on a second!
Broncos QB Jake Plummer does have an awesome mustache, so maybe we could root for Plummer’s mustache to win the Superbowl.

With a stache like that I think the offensive coordinator of the Broncos is Jerry Reed!

I can’t root for the Broncos unless it ends up Denver vs. Seattle. For what it’s worth, I’m hitching my wagon to the Carolina Panthers. Should Seattle advance to Super Bowl XL, it’s Denver or Pittsburgh all the way, brother.
However, because I like and admire the brilliant Les Hermann a great deal, I will take quiet joy in the insanity that is “Jake Plummer’s Career Year.” Here’s a guy whose entire career has been about disappointment and unfulfilled potential, and then he goes Joe Montana on us - while sporting a cheesy mustache, then full hippie beard, and living in the mountains.
I don’t pull out this comparison often, but Plummer is in Steve McQueen mode right now and it’s cool.
But, I can never forgive Super Bowl XXII, so until it’s the Seahawks on the other side of the field, go Panthers!
