Simpsons and South Park
That Ricky Gervais Simpson Episode was terrible. I love Gervais. The British Office was brilliant. The Guardian Podcasts that he does are hilarious. I was expecting the guy to hit the Simpsons episode out of the park. Instead, it was the opposite of funny. I haven’t watched the Simpsons in a few years. If what I saw was any indicator of the shows current quality, it might be time to shoot the horse.
On the other hand, I watched South Park last week. It was the first time I’ve seen it since they released the movie many years back. I admire how Parker and Stone try to push the envelope, yet I’ve long outgrown fart jokes. The show is real hit or miss for me. The banned Scientology episode is on You Tube. It was actually pretty funny, so I DVR’ed the season premiere last week. The “Return of Chef” episode may have been one of the funnier things I’ve seen in a while. If you can find it online, it’s worth a look, especially the end of it.
Speaking of cartoons, here’s a X-Men cartoon that Andy G. sent me last week. It had me rolling.
