Picnic for Jake 2006

We’re doing another picnic for my nephew Jacob Beckman this year. For those who may not remember, Jake was diagnosed with Autism two years ago. His parents are being proactive and doing everything within their power to help him. He’s been attending a school called the Chicago Education Project. I’ve been there a couple of times and it is a fantastic place. The staff is full of energy and wonderful with Jake. He’s experienced huge breakthroughs with his communication skills among many other positive changes.

So, we’re having a super fun summer cookout to raise awareness and funds for Jake and his school. Here’s the deal:

Saturday August 26th, 2006

2:00PM - 6:00PM

Hales Corners Park Picnic Site #2 Click here for a map

We will provide burgers, brats, veggie foodstuffs, chips, beer, soda, and water.

You, if you’d be kind enough to join us, just need to bring yourself and whatever donation that you can. Please make checks out to OSJ or Jacob Beckman.

I hope to see you there.

Thank you Chuck and Connie for having another picnic for Jake! It should be a awesome time! We appreciate how supportive our family and friends have been over the past few years! We couldn’t have gone through this difficult time alone.
